So far...

I've just finished reading The Guernsey Literary and Potatoe Peel Society It may be a chick book, sorry OJ, but it's a cleverly written, fast read of a novel. The story is told through letters between a writer, her publisher, and her other connections that expand thru the book. It takes place in England and you get a bit of history about the Guernsey Island off the English Channel during World War II. I'll say no more, but it's a good read!

Sounds good, I might look for that at my favorite used book store in Fort Myers. My goal is to read a few things this summer that are not what I would usually choose (courtroom drama usually is what I go for first).

I am three quarters through the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society - and absolutely love it! What a unique approach - and the historical picture is so clear. I do not think it is a "chick" book. I think anyone that enjoys fresh writing and a bit of history would love it. Thanks, Merrill for recommending this. It is not a book I would have found on my own.
